Transforming your life
Serving Christ Through Song
Adult and Teen Challenge Mid-America provides an unique learning environment and plays a vital part in the recovery process for students. Students truly benefit from giving vocal expression to the life change they have experienced. Our choir shares their testimonies through song as well as through their own personal stories.
Host the Choir
One way that Adult and Teen Challenge Mid-America reaches out to area churches and the community is through our student choir. Our choir visits churches sharing songs and giving testimonies of how God has changed their lives and broken addictions. The Adult and Teen Challenge Mid-America Choir has had the opportunity of ministering in a wide variety of churches throughout many states. The choir will sing a mix of contemporary worship songs as well as classic hymns. The Executive Director, Rev. James Bolin, is available to minister after the choir upon request. Our choir also ministers in many special events around the area.
A Typical Church Visit
A typical church visit usually consist of 30-40 minutes of ministry (songs and testimonies) during the service. However, we are willing to accommodate the needs of your church. We ask for the opportunity to take a love offering during the service for Adult and Teen Challenge Mid-America. This offering is a major part of the funding for our ministry. Many times, churches will offer a meal for the choir after the service. This is in no way a requirement but is a huge blessing to our choir.
We typically like to arrive 45 minutes to an hour before service in order to set up everything and go through a sound check. All of our sound tracks are on CD’s so we need a CD player that is set up on your system or an open channel on your sound board that we can use.
If possible, we need: 2 microphones, 1 or 2 monitors, and 1 sound person from the church to help with sound. If your church does not have these requirements, we can bring our own equipment.
