Serving Christ Through Song

Adult and Teen Challenge Mid-America provides an unique learning environment and plays a vital part in the recovery process for students. Students truly benefit from giving vocal expression to the life change they have experienced. Our choir shares their testimonies through song as well as through their own personal stories.

Host the Choir

One way that Adult and Teen Challenge Mid-America reaches out to area churches and the community is through our student choir. Our choir visits churches sharing songs and giving testimonies of how God has changed their lives and broken addictions. The Adult and Teen Challenge Mid-America Choir has had the opportunity of ministering in a wide variety of churches throughout many states. The choir will sing a mix of contemporary worship songs as well as classic hymns. The Executive Director, Rev. James Bolin, is available to minister after the choir upon request. Our choir also ministers in many special events around the area.

A Typical Church Visit

A typical church visit usually consist of 30-40 minutes of ministry (songs and testimonies) during the service. However, we are willing to accommodate the needs of your church. We ask for the opportunity to take a love offering during the service for Adult and Teen Challenge Mid-America. This offering is a major part of the funding for our ministry. Many times, churches will offer a meal for the choir after the service. This is in no way a requirement but is a huge blessing to our choir.

We typically like to arrive 45 minutes to an hour before service in order to set up everything and go through a sound check. All of our sound tracks are on CD’s so we need a CD player that is set up on your system or an open channel on your sound board that we can use.

If possible, we need: 2 microphones, 1 or 2 monitors, and 1 sound person from the church to help with sound. If your church does not have these requirements, we can bring our own equipment.

"Spiritual, God-directed, academic, social, life-transforming, life-changing, uplifting, challenging to higher heights and deeper depths in Christ. I have watched the efforts, effects, and results of Teen Challenge for many years. It never ceases to amaze me to see men come into the program, some by choice and some by direction, and in a relatively short period of time enter into a relationship with our Lord Jesus Christ that so totally transforms their lives that they are never the same. Having once been overcome with life-controlling issues and loss of all or most of what was dear to them, they come forth as new men in Christ and as valuable, dedicated, and good citizens and family men. I cannot say enough good things for the ministry and programs of Adult and Teen Challenge Mid-America. God uses a tremendously dedicated staff, volunteers, and hundreds of financial supporters to make the difference in so many men’s lives."

Rev. Dr. John I Chamness
Senior Pastor Family Worship Center

As Senior Pastor at First Assembly of God in Farmington, Missouri, I am privileged to be a part of a church that has supported Teen Challenge Mid-America for about forty years. Each year in March we are honored to have the men's choir come and share with us what God is doing in the lives of the men at TC and to take annual faith promises in support of the center. Thank God for the difference He makes in the lives of men with life-controlling problems through the ministry of Teen Challenge. And what a great honor it is for us to be able to be a part of it.

Teen Challenge International of Mid-America is such a vital ministry in our world today. We have the New Creations ministry team at Lakeland on a regular basis. Our people enjoy the guys and they show up prayed up ready to minister to all ages. Their ministry is fresh and relevant even when doing the old favorites , the new contemporary songs or drama. More importantly is the rich anointing of the Holy Spirit that is present as they minister. This anointing is not just on the ministry teams but on the entire ministry of Teen Challenge International of Mid-America as the Lord uses them to reach men and impact our society for the Kingdom.

I highly recommend to any struggling addict or family member of a struggling addict to turn to Teen Challenge for answers. Over the years I’ve seen Teen Challenge become God’s hands extended to those in need of freedom and deliverance. Teen Challenge is not an option. Teen Challenge is the answer. Teen Challenge works! It is your answer! It will work for you!

For the past two decades I have had the honor of serving on the ATCMA Board with many distinguished men and women. I also have the privilege of hosting approximately one-third of the men who are in the Teen Challenge program in our Sunday morning services. From my vantage point I can say without reservation that this ministry is making a powerful and eternal impact on those men. I have never been more enthused about the direction of ATCMA and its future than I am today. If you’re looking for a ministry that makes a difference to either refer someone to or invest in, you’ve found it in ATCMA.
